Day 3: Surf Lesson

Hola!  Just dropping by to give you a few sneak peeks of our vacation whenever this temperamental internet here decides to let us in for a few minutes...

Here's a short clip of my surf lesson a few days ago, on Thursday, Feb. 20th.  Our actual surfing was done so far out in the bigger waves that the video camera on land could only catch these first few moments as we entered the water.  At least you get the idea..  here goes:

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand I'm back!

Back where I belong, at least for now, in subtropical North Carolina. Wisconsin was beautiful, but too chilly for me.

I don't think I've ever seen any hibiscus flowers growing there, like this beauty that was just screaming for me to take her lovely picture this morning!

   I'm still busy getting unpacked and back to life here... adjusting to the summer schedule with both kids home all day, with nothing to do but play on their electronic devices and hopefully get out and get active, too.  Meet some neighborhood kids, I hope.

Anyway, I've got a lot on my mind from this recent trip back to my roots, lots of stuff and memories churned up in my head that I'm processing and will share more about in one of my other blogs, once I get around to it.
