Working at Starbucks has been quite the adventure so far. I could go on about this, and maybe I will start using this "everyday" blog to record just random fun things that go on there, things too long to tweet and not deep enough to "ping" on sonar.
Tonight's interesting customer was someone I recognized from either last night or sometime recently... but tonight it was his shirt that started a conversation. His shirt had the logo of the boxing gym I attend, and suddenly I recognized him as the new trainer who was just featured in a video on facebook with him taking hits from a girl boxer. I've really been wanting to join this more focused boxing "team" at the gym, and so I was happy to talk to this guy more about it. He's the trainer for it, and he specializes in taking hits, so whether I choose to get hit myself or not, I can still hit him as much as I want! What fun! They train 3 nights a week, and it would cost a big chunk of my Starbucks paycheck each month to be on the team, whether I choose to compete or just train to fight. Hmmm. If my life weren't so complicated right now, this would be something to consider. Still tempting though.
And I wonder what "the Boss" of the club would say if he saw the fattening piece of coffee cake this guy ordered. The club owner is always preaching about the virtues of vegetarianism, juicing, organics, and the motto, "eat clean, train mean".
